Kaitlyn began her new journey at Ossian Health Communities on September 23, 2019. Kaitlyn's mother went back to school to become a nurse when Kaitlyn was 11 years of age. Kaitlyn volunteered in the nursing home never knowing that someday she would be the Director of Clinical Services for a campus like Ossian. Kaitlyn received her CNA license at the age of 15 and started to work as a CNA at the age of 16 at Heritage Kaitlyn than completed her RN and went to work as a charge nurse in the end stage dementia unit at Heritage Pointe. She later worked for Parkview Regional in Ortho Neuro Trauma unit for 2 year. Kaitlyn then pursued her career in ICU. Kaitlyn decided that she really wanted to work with the elderly population and took a position with Family Life Care Hospice as a case manager. She later received a promotion to Hospice Operations. With all of this great experience over the past years in nursing, Kaitlyn felt a calling back to long-term care. When she saw the position for Director of Clinical Services was open at Ossian Health Communities, she knew that this was her opportunity to be back in long-term care.
